Introduction
The
Fricon controller, upon commadn from pertinent control actuator,
supplies adjustable D.C. Voltage for speed control of D.C. Motor.
A complete Drive
includes solid state controller, control pendant (Optional) Standard
controller's features include impact yet front accessible solid state
design, wide speed range, adjustable current limit, adjustable maximum
speed and adjustable regulation. Several important regulator parameters
cna be preset for aparticular application.

Protection Provided for Thyristor Convertor Panel
- Insensitivity to phase Rotation
- High Speed Fuses in A.C. Lines to protect
Thyristors and Diodes
- Dive switches off in case of low incoming line
voltage (300 V between line to line)
- Drive switches off if any phase is lost / low
- MOV/Surge suppressors for protection against
voltage transients
- R.C. Snubber network for dv/dt protection of
individual power semiconductors (Thyristor, Diode)
- Line Reactors for di/dt protection and to limit
fault current
- Field, failure relay
- Thermal switch for over temperatur eprotection
- Instantaneous static over current trip operating
at 300% average line
- Suppressing pulses to thyristor.
